いわゆる１００円ショップの一つである。１００円ショップには「ダイソー」や「キャンドゥ」などがあるが、位置的に行きやすいことからこの「セリア」を紹介するもの。

１００円ショップは日本独特のものであるが、商品を大量に直接メーカーに発注することにより、安く良い品物の供給が出来ている。この為に日常の消耗品を購入する場所としては十分である。また、新商品を開発して使いやすい台所用具などが売られているので、新商品発掘の面白さもある。
