店舗の作り方：お店によって提供する内容は変わるが、簡単なシナモンロール、コーヒーを提供する以外に渋谷ではファーストフード的な清潔なレストランが付属して、スウェーデン料理らしい健康的なメニューを提供し、多数の若い顧客を引き寄せる。また、サーモン、肉団子などのスウェーデン料理の冷凍食品も販売されている。

商品の製作方法：全ての商品において、規格、サイズが特定され、その特定された商品を全世界に大量に販売することにより驚きの低価格を実現する。日本でも最近はこの方式を採用する企業が多いが、徹底の度合いが異なり、値段の圧倒的な差を作りだしている。特に品質が良く検討されており、スウェーデンの国民性か華奢なものはなく、多少手荒に扱っても問題が出ることは無い。

販売方法：デジタル化が徹底されており、レジで打ち出す以外は、別途納品されるオフィス家具などは納品書、請求書、領収書等の紙が無い。必要な書類は全てメールでその場で送付され、後で残す手続きが無い。まごまごしていると、店員がその場で顧客のスマートフォンを借りて、顧客と共にIKEAより顧客へ送付されたオーダー内容を確認する。

受渡方法：良く知られているように、家具などは最小のパッケージにされて、顧客が付属された簡単な工具で、自分で組み立てる事になっており、受渡も顧客が自分で持ち運びすることになっている。商品が安いだけに組立、受渡を別途頼んだ費用は高い感じがする。家具の組立はかなりの力仕事になるので、女性だけの場合は手に余るかもしれない
