ドンキホーテはそのジャングルのような床から天井まで商品を展示する独特の雰囲気と、商品の選択が、他の大型小売店が集中購買により低価格で仕入れているの対し、売場の責任者が自由に商品を選択して商品を並べるという違いがある。

どちらが良いかとは言えないが、売り上げを急速に伸ばしているのはドンキホーテなので、売場の責任者がお客の動きを見ながら商品を早く取り換えていく戦略は現代にあっているのかも知れない。
