新宿にあるインフォメーションセンターは、都庁の第一本庁舎１階にある「東京観光情報センター」があり、ここでは英語以外に中国語、韓国語で対応出来る。

東京観光に関する資料が多数あり、東京トラベルガイドには新宿、渋谷、浅草を含めて１４カ所の地図が掲載されているので、主要な個所はカバーされている。また、東京ガイドについては、日本語、英語以外に中国語が香港・台湾・マカオなどを主として使われる繁体字と、中国本土・シンガポールで主として使われる簡体字の２種類、韓国語、フランス語、スペイン語、ドイツ語、イタリア語、タイ語のものがある。

東京都庁は、１階に日本全体を紹介するこのインフォメーションセンター以外に、日本の各県別の観光スポットを紹介するインフォメーションセンターが別にあり、また、４５階には無料の展望室があり、訪日客に人気で天気の日は特に長い行列になる。
